ENTRY DOCUMENTS

ENTRY:
  • Entry/Immediate Delivery (CBP form 3461) or inward Cargo manifest (CBP form 7533) or other forms of merchandise release.
  • Evidence of right to make entry (A BILL OF LADING OR AIR WAYBILL).
  • Commercial Invoice or Proforma Invoice.
  • Packing list, if appropriate.
  • Other documents necessary to determine merchandise admissibility regulated by other government agencies.
 
 
ENTRY SUMMARY:
  • Entry summary (CBP form 7501) or a declaration for free entry of returned American products (CBP form 3311or other appropriate forms of Entry.
  • Commercial Invoice or Proforma Invoice.
  • Other invoices and documents necessary to assess duties, collect statistics, or determine that all import requirements have been satisfied by other government agencies.
Within 15 calendar days of the date a shipment arrives at a U.S. port of entry, entry documents must be filed at a location specified by the port director.

The failure to file a CF 7501 entry summary within 10 working days after the time of entry will result in a demand being made for liquidated damages against the importer of record’s basic importation bond.
